A free invoice generator that respects your privacy
Most free invoice generators want something from you before they'll let you download a PDF: an email address, an account, a watermark you have to pay to remove, or a limit on how many invoices you can create before the upsell hits. This one doesn't. It's a genuinely free invoice generator, no sign-up, no trial period, no catch, built as part of the same AI-era product practice I use across the rest of this site.
I built it because I needed it myself. Freelancers, agencies, and small businesses need to send professional invoices constantly, and most of the free options online exist to funnel you into a paid accounting suite you don't need for a one-off invoice. This tool does one thing well: it turns a simple form into a polished, branded PDF in seconds, in any currency, with whatever payment details your client needs, and nothing you type ever leaves your browser.
It sits alongside the rest of the free tools on this site, all built the same way: solve one real problem completely, charge nothing for it, and don't make the person using it pay with their data instead of their wallet. If you've ever abandoned an invoice generator halfway through because it demanded an account first, this is the alternative.

What this free invoice generator does
Every feature here exists because it's something a real invoice actually needs, not because it padded out a features page. There's no "advanced" tier hiding currency selection or logo upload behind a paywall, everything below is available from the very first invoice you create.
Live preview
Every field you fill in updates a real, styled invoice preview instantly, so you see exactly what your client will receive before you download anything.
145+ world currencies
From USD and EUR to NGN, INR, ZAR, and everything in between, with correct symbols, so it works no matter where you or your client are based.
Logo upload
Add your business logo and it appears on both the on-screen preview and the exported PDF, so every invoice looks like it came from a real, established business.
Multiple payment methods
List bank transfer details, PayPal, a crypto wallet, or custom instructions, add as many as you need, and they appear automatically formatted on the PDF.
One-click PDF export
Generates a clean, print-ready PDF using your browser, no server round-trip, no waiting on a generation queue.
Zero data collection
No account, no tracking, no analytics tied to what you type. The tool has no way to see your invoice data because it never leaves your device.
Built for how freelancers actually get paid
A lot of invoice tools quietly assume you're in the US, billing in dollars, and getting paid by a single method. That's not how most freelance and small business work actually happens. You might be based in Lagos, billing a client in London, and getting paid by bank transfer, PayPal, or a stablecoin wallet, sometimes all three depending on the client.
This tool supports 145 plus currencies with correct symbols, and an unlimited number of payment methods per invoice. Add your bank details for one client, a PayPal email for another, and a crypto wallet address for a third, all without leaving the same form.
None of that is locked behind a "business" or "pro" tier the way it often is elsewhere. Currency selection and payment methods are core to what an invoice actually needs to do, so they're core to what this tool does, available to everyone who uses it, on the first invoice and every one after.

How it works
Three steps, no waiting on a server, no confirmation email to click through before you can actually use the thing you came here for.
01
Fill in the form
Your business details, your client's details, line items, currency, and any payment methods you want listed.
02
Watch it build live
A real, styled invoice preview updates as you type, so there's no guessing what the final PDF will look like.
03
Download the PDF
One click generates a clean, print-ready PDF entirely in your browser, ready to email or save.

Who this tool is for
Freelancers and consultants
Send a professional invoice for a one-off project without paying for accounting software you'll use twice a year. Fill in the form, download the PDF, done, no monthly subscription for something you needed once.
Small agencies
Add your logo once, reuse the same clean format for every client, and keep your payment details consistent across invoices. It looks like a system even if it's just you and a browser tab.
International contractors
Bill clients in their local currency without hunting for the right symbol or manually converting anything, useful when you're working with clients across multiple countries and currencies in the same week.
Anyone billing a one-time client
A single project, a single invoice, no reason to create an account for software you'll never open again. Close the tab when you're done and there's nothing left behind.
Invoicing mistakes this helps you avoid
No due date
An invoice without a clear due date reads as optional. This tool defaults to a 14-day due date and puts it right at the top of the preview, so it's never an afterthought.
Payment details buried in an email thread
If your client has to scroll back through old messages to find your bank details, you've made it easier for them to pay you late. Payment methods live directly on the invoice itself here.
Inconsistent formatting between invoices
Handwritten or ad hoc invoices tend to drift, different fonts, different layouts, different levels of detail. A template you reuse keeps every invoice looking like it came from the same professional operation.
Currency ambiguity
Just writing "$500" is ambiguous if you work internationally, US and other dollars are not the same amount. Selecting an explicit currency with the correct symbol removes any confusion at the moment your client is deciding to pay.
No record of what was actually agreed
A generated PDF with itemized line items is something you can point back to later if a client disputes what was billed, a vague email summary is not.
Why privacy is the whole point
Invoices contain real business information: client names, amounts, sometimes bank details. Sending that through a third-party server just to generate a PDF has always seemed like an unnecessary risk for something this simple. Everything in this tool, the form state, the logo you upload, the PDF rendering, happens with client-side JavaScript in your own browser. There is no backend for your invoice data to pass through, which means there is nothing on my end to leak, log, or lose.
This is also why I'm comfortable calling it free without an asterisk. Tools that store your data on a server usually have a business reason to, even if that reason is just "we might add paid features later using this data." This tool has no server-side storage to build that business model on top of, so there's no slow drift toward a paywall down the line. What you see today is what the tool is, permanently.

Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes, completely. There is no sign-up, no free trial that expires, no watermark, and no limit on how many invoices you create. Every feature, including logo upload and every currency, is free.
What makes this an AI invoice generator?
It is built and maintained as part of an AI-integrated product practice, the same workflow I use Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok in across content, research, and product development. The invoice generator itself is deliberately simple by design: a clean form and instant PDF export, with no account, no AI writing your line items for you, and no black box deciding what your invoice should say. You stay in full control of every number and every word.
Is my invoice data actually private?
Yes. The form, the PDF generation, and your uploaded logo are all handled entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nothing is logged, and nothing persists after you close the tab unless you download the PDF yourself.
Can I use this for a business outside the US?
Yes, it supports 145+ world currencies with correct symbols, from USD and EUR to NGN, INR, ZAR, and more, so it works whether you are billing a client down the street or on another continent.
Can I add my own payment details?
Yes. Add as many payment methods as you need, bank transfer details, PayPal, a crypto wallet address, or custom instructions, and they will appear on the generated PDF automatically.
Do I need design skills to make it look professional?
No. The invoice layout is already designed, clean typography, proper spacing, a clear total. Upload your logo and fill in the fields, the formatting is handled for you.
